At the start of the new year, I began toying with the idea of getting involved with plants. But come to think about it… It all began last year, when my best friend told me about terrariums.
Over time, I developed a certain liking for them and I took pleasure in just staring at them, spacing out occasionally and enjoying what little greenery I had in my own home.
And during that period, I bought several terrariums as gifts for relatives, friends and myself. I even attempted making ‘fake’ terrariums as gifts for the school teachers!
So naturally, the same thought came to me when I was thinking of gifts for my parents for Chinese New Year.
But knowing terrariums, a good majority that I bought have all been nothing but different types of green plants. None of which have flowers. The only one that is nothing but flowers has people asking if those are even real. Honestly, I don’t know. But you can see and decide it for yourself…
These miniature flowers are lovely, but way too tiny for a gift of Spring (to me). And the regular terrariums I’ve seen so far are a little too green for my liking. It’s Chinese New Year after all, the season of Spring!
Well, one thought led to another, and I believe some of you might know what comes next…
To be continued…
