Collecting Magic at Singapore Philatelic Museum

Potterheads rejoice! You can now indulge yourself into the wonderful world of Harry Potter at Singapore Philatelic Museum!

From now till 30 June 2017, the Collecting Magic: From Stamps to Wands exhibition at Singapore Philatelic Museum will showcase a comprehensive collection of Harry Potter stamps from all over the world.

Some of the featured stamps include the world’s first licensed Harry Potter stamps from Taiwan (yes, TAIWAN!) and the once controversial-filled Harry Potter Stamps by United States Postal Service (because HP is British, not American…).

Besides stamps, there are also interactive multimedia exhibits and photo opportunities (Platform 9¾!) for all Potterheads who wish to live their dream of ever being in Hogwarts with Harry and gang!

And the cool interactive multimedia exhibits are the sweat and blood of a group of Nanyang Polytechnic students and their lecturers.

A round of an applause for these youths!
Also, thank you to the boys for being my models in my video below.

Private collections of hardcore Potterheads are also featured, including a one-of-a-kind Lego model of Diagon Alley! Limited edition books and DVDs, as well as prop replicas and movie posters are up for viewing as well. Do take time to look through everything within the exhibition hall.

And to conclude this post, a highlights reel which wouldn’t give too much away. Don’t want to take away the fun of exploring this exhibition away from you!

Psst… If you need more photos and details of the exhibition, read the review by Lin Ying from Bumblebeemum.net.
