Marvel Studios: Ten Years of Heroes Exhibition

June 8, 2018

Media Invite

One of the best things about school holidays is that the children can stay out later than usual. Another one of the best things is to receive an invite to preview the latest Marvel exhibition at ArtScience Museum, Marvel Studios: Ten Years of Heroes Exhibition!

Before immersing ourselves in the world of Marvel, we had a quick recap of all 19 movies from Marvel Cinematic Universe at the entrance.

The Iron Man section is pretty heavy on the visuals, from the very first Iron Man suit from the first movie to the latest from the third, along with a big screen showing off the other versions that came to be after Mark I. At the end of our tour around STARK Industries is a 5-metres tall Iron Man!

We met some cosplayers along the way! Super cool!

The most stunning thing at Captain America’s section has got to be the Helicarrier!

Probably one of the most classic scene from Thor: Ragnarok

The children had a lot of fun at the Guardians of the Galaxy section as there was an interactive dance-off with Baby Groot! Too cute!

Entering a mirror maze (I’m using the word ‘maze’ very loosely here) transported us to Dr Strange! And it was when we were here that Blake started to develop a really strong liking towards Dr Strange. He had such an awesome time trying to bend reality and creating a portal that will show you what’s happening at a corner at Marina Bay Sands at that very moment!

We tried waving at a couple of people whom we saw through the portal, but most of them were kind of lost as to why this group of people were waving at them. Haha!

The children even learnt how to do the Dr Strange hand movements from this young chap who offered to teach Blake, after seeing me do some random movements, when Blake asked me how it’s done. Haha!

Ant-Man and The Wasp are really tiny!

Thanos, Infinity Stones and Infinity Gauntlet

We met the whole group of cosplayers at the end of our trip!

Besides the interactive stations and various video footage played throughout the exhibition, meeting the cosplayers who were more than happy to pose with the children, and the kind soul who taught the children how to be Dr Strange, truly made this trip to Marvel Studios: Ten Years of Heroes Exhibition a memorable one!
